I produce sculpture, drawings and paintings and have an aptitude for portraiture and animals of all sorts. Through Shapeways and with sculpting software like Zbrush, I can make artwork no matter where I am, while furthering my creative process. I've worked in fine art, museum exhibits, paleontology, and entertainment, and along with these experience I use my background in fine art, history, and naturalism to develop ideas for sculpture and jewelry. Some of my work here will serve as maquettes for sculptures which will, or have been crafted by hand or in combination with digital technology.
I use figurative representation with content derived from the natural sciences, history and our current social-political environment. I create objects of contrast, typically between beauty and dissident gestures.  Art in general is a great way to generate complicated emotion and thought, in addition to an appreciation of beauty.  This forum allows me to experiment with these elements while still producing work that is financially accesable and visible to others, while maintaining an art practice no matter where I am.

Although I do make hand made objects as well, I believe that this technology can democratize the art market for makers and buyers. Although the hands on element and variability is lacking in this art making application, the process is suitable for jewelry and maquettes, some of which I intend to work by hand and this forum facilitates the sharing of my work by proxy.
