I was born in Japan and studied design at Osaka Art University. I worked in product design for a while in Japan, and then graphic design after I moved to the United States.
In my “spare time” I have continued to do fine art work. I love to work in 3-D, like sculpture, as well as painting. In my painting I’ve found the digital medium very exciting and more of my recent work is done on the computer. The advent of 3-D printing has allowed me to return to 3-D work. Sculpture kind of requires more space and equipment than I’ve had room for in recent years! My fine art work reflects a desire to bring together science and spirituality, in a beautiful way.
My products are my own innovation, based on a desire to create useful, practical items that help people succeed in their lives. As an artist, not just a technician, I also want these items to be beautiful.
