Use it as much as you like :-) You can also download the models free from: I was tired of the wiring mess we always had at home when we were charging our iPhones and iPads, so I decided to make at modular charging rack. I had the following goals, it should - : • fit iPhones and iPads of today and forthcoming products • be a wall-mounted housing with changeable inserts • be easy to change the inserts without the need of new holes in the wall for the housing(s) • be easy for children to handle it • be possible to charge phones without taking the protection covers off • have as small dimensions as possible • be so nice looking that it didn’t had to be hidden away • be possible to stack the racks on top of each other • be possible to use the items (in front) while they were charging I think that I have achieved all of the goals and I have used my racks for more than a year without any problems at all. Now I always (almost ?) know where my items are as I place them in the rack when I come home. I ended up with the shown solution. Each rack consist of a wall mounted steel “base plate” on which I slide the housing on. The housing is fitted with an insert for either one iPad or two iPhones. Each insert is fitted with the proper items for the connector. I is sort of adjustable as the connectors can have different dimensions. The inserts for the phones also have a sort of spring, which secure that the phone is guided against the display (the only face that is the same position related to the connector despite of different covers). In the beginning I was thinking of starting a small “hobby” company from which I could sell the racks. I named and protected the rack “Mi Rack” (the observant will see a small rack in the logo ?) and sampled a group of people to help me. We spent many hours planning the future but unfortunately we were not able to make the dreams come through as we all were busy with our normal jobs. Instead I decided to open a shop on Shapeways which seems to be a very interesting way to get to market. For the time being I have uploaded inserts for iPad2, iPhone 4S and iPhone 5, and I will continue to make new inserts for other Apple products
