Melanie Lynn Design

Whimsical, geometric jewelry designed in NYC
Melanie Lynn Penn Design was founded in 2007 by jeweler and designer Melanie Penn. Melanie has a BFA in metals, but by the time her thesis show came around she was on the hunt for something new. She ended up taking herself down a road of alternative materials and exploring new making processes. During this time she was introduced to 3D printing, CAD modeling programs and a whole world outside of metal. Today she her whole design process from sketching to final product is done utilizing Rhino3D, Matrix and Illustrator. She is aided by an amazing 3D printing company and equally fabulous laser cutting company. For over a decade now Melanie has been exploring felts, non precious metals, rubbers, plastics and everything in between as well as how they relate to jewelry and the human body.
