A few years ago I became interested in interconnecting 3d printed yoga figurines to make a necklace. Then I realized I could recess the figurines in the center of circles or hoops or any polygon. So I could use authentic content in my earrings, necklaces and bracelets. In the beginning i used interconnected yoga figurines but any logo or any type of object may be placed in the center of a hoop or a polygon and those polygons can be interconnected as jewelry, sculptures, architectural installations and on and on. The configurations are unlimited.
The collections of all of the museums have been 3d scanned and there are millions and millions of sculptures and architectural reliefs available for download into 3d printers. Also any 2d images can be converted into downloadable 3d objects. All of the 2D and 3D art of the past is able to be incorporated into interconnected 3d printed polygons. A 3d scanner can be used to create new downloadable content.
A narrative can be developed in a space that previously was empty and this space can be used to promote a cause, for advertising, decoration, or as new kinds of designs and expression which previously were not possible. In addition to sculpture collages yoga jewelry is developing monumental 3d printed sculpture gardens.
At the yoga jewelry showroom you may view several hundred designs of earrings, rings, bracelets, necklaces and sculptures I have developed over the last three years. I can meet to discuss different projects.
