Matter Design
Matter Design is a collaborative design studio founded in 2008 by Brandon Clifford and Wes McGee dedicated to translating known references into contemporary culture. These translations manifest as objects that appear familiar while simultaneously alien.
While both designers, Clifford teaches at MIT and McGee teaches at the University of Michigan. Matter Design serves as a laboratory for each of these researchers passions and products. As a result, the work ranges in scale from architecture, to jewelry.
