Future Imports

3-D Printing is never identically re-oriented each time for the same product. The lay of the material that is the bed for the laser sintering is uniform but never "exactly" the same; therefore, all 3-D printed products of the same item are actually one of a kind! (hence the term Stereo Lithograph... Original creation from a computer file.) The products are made of hundreds if not thousands of layers. Original pieces that usually cannot be mass produced by injection molding Or where injection molding is not preferred.  When these models are  3-D printed from in the White durable plastic, they are best finished and painted by first coating them with a few coats of Krylon clear coat which seals the surface. Then any grouping of opaque colors can be added.
About
I have always been interested in science fiction, It is interesting how  the progress of technology has resulted in things that are real today and were science fiction 40 years ago.  I still havent seen the story that hits that deep harmonic in me except for maybe some of the old 1950's Sci Fi. Those stories sort of ring a bit of a chord in me.  My expressions in 3-D modeling share my personal vision of future reality. I firmly believe we will discover anti gravity and field dependant propulsion.  The long Haul of fuel to reach distant stars will no longer be required. Perhaps even the zeropoint energy field will be harnessed for the generation of power then.  (like the ZedPM in Star Gate Atlantis). Until then, ... the dream continues.
