Please don't ask about materials and their finishes as I'm not the one who handles the parts, if you'd like to know more about a certain material there is lots of info online and on YouTube about Shapeways material options. All the nylon/plastic materials on here can be sanded, primed and spray painted if you want a specific surface finish! The metals may be polished, but I've not had any personal experience with metals.

All parts are able to be painted into your chosen colour/finish, and it's fairly easy to do! There are guides online about painting 3d printed parts, but in short you'll need some primer to seal the surface of the part up, some fine sandpaper to sand the primer smooth, and your top coat paint in the colour you want. Painting these items will always give the best results over the raw finish, however the raw material is still suitable to use without paint if you're happy with the colour/finish!

This isn't a profit-making project, all the parts on here were made as a hobby, and I don't intend to profit loads from it. I get about £1 a part for the standard materials, I'm just happy to help people out! The prices are what Shapeways charge for material, handling, and shipping of parts.
