Product Description
If you ever smell Jasmin(e), be prepared to fall in love! A most beautiful white flower synonymous with everything beautiful, sensual and passionate. Jasmine has a great sense of style, she is very kind and lovable. She is the cutest, incredibly smart and intelligent, and her hair smells of jasmonate.

Jamonate, or more precisely (+)-(1R,2S)-epi-methyl jasmonate, is the principal odorant of Jasminum grandiflorum L., also known variously as Spanish jasmineRoyal jasmine, or Catalonian jasmine, in the absolute of which it occurs to only about 0.2% ('Scent and Chemistry – The Molecular World of Odors', Verlag Helvetica Chimica Acta/Wiley-VCH, 2012, p. 259–266). While the stereochemistry is so crucial for the olfactory properties of epi-methyl jasmonate, it comes across less convenient and pretty in the form of its pendant. So for the sake of beauty (and for reasons of gravity), the stereocenters have been flattened out. To quote Max Jacob, 'Art poétique' (1922): 'When you get to the point where you cheat for the sake of beauty, you're an artist.' In that respect, the jasmonate pendant is even a piece of art. It does look stunning though!

Hedione is certainly more famous than methyl jasmonate; yet, there runs through Hedione an undercurrent of frivolity. Cepionate, Kharismal and Paradisone, admittedly possess more charismatic transparency, but it is without a doubt methyl jasmonate which is to be regarded as the queen of white floralcy. Methyl jasmonate is what it smells like when 1H-indol finishes with benzyl acetate, and the (2'Z)-configured pent-2'-enyl chain says it all!

The dimensions of the Jasmonate pendant, which can be attached to the necklace either via its carbonyl or methoxycarbonyl oxygen atom, are ca. 3.7 cm × 3.5 cm × 0.6 cm, and the hole for the necklace (not included) has a diameter of ca. 3 mm. It thus fits excellently to a 2 mm/46 cm Omegareif necklace, www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01704A13E?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00.
