Product Description
Suits Atlas Dash8-40 dummy chassis, or Dapol Class 67 dummy chassis. Both need some work to make them fit. You could scratchbuild a chassis to take the trucks The story behind my developing these LRC models. After developing the Rocky Mountaineer models, I started working on other Canadian trains. I wanted the VIA Rail LRC cars. No manufacture had made models of these cars and loco so I had to work out some other means of getting the train. I tried several scratch building methods for the cars, but they all fell short somewhere, usually with the windows. The best result I achieved was by drawing the cars on the computer, then laminating the print and moulding it over a form to get the shape, and attaching the body to a scratch-built chassis. Though a fairly satisfactory result, I thought I could do better. I posted photos of my efforts on the internet and was informed by someone who had seen my photos about a 3D design for the LRC cars and loco. The designs are for both VIA Rail and Amtrak LRC versions. For VIA Rail version, light above front windows at centre will have to be removed, as VIA Rail didn't have these lights.  After a long period of correspondence and negotiating I was able to upload the designs for sale to the wider band of modellers. I make no profits from these LRC models as I had no input to their design. I just wanted to make them available to the wider number of n scale modellers. So far there have been over 30 models purchased. I think my decision has been justified.
