Bussard Fan Assembly - Alternative Replacement Part
For use with the Polar Lights / Round 2 1:350 TOS Enterprise model kit.
Use two of these as alternatives to replace the kit-supplied parts. Unlike the kit parts, this one features individually-modeled blades that aren't molded onto a dome shell. This should allow for easier painting of the blades, and give the Bussard collector dome assemblies a more interesting look.
The hollow stem has a 3mm-diameter hole to fit same-sized motor shafts.
Trimming the stem to size should not be needed as the entire original assembly was measured using a digital caliper in order to create this part.
NOTE: the "blades" are delicate, so be gentle with this part no matter what material ends up being used to make it.
