Product Description
This is an N Gauge model of a Liverpool & Manchester Railway ‘Northumbrian’ class locomotive – the developmental link between ‘Rocket’ and ‘Planet’ and the first commercial class to operate on this important railway.  Combined with the N Gauge Northumbrian tender (separately available), this scratch aid enables an unpowered free-rolling model engine that can be used with the various motorised coaches/trucks also available.

The following additional parts need to be sourced separately to complete (web links given as examples only):

Necessary to Complete:
Graham Farish Jinty driving wheels (available as spares); 10.5mm diameter including flange, 1.5mm axle
Graham Farish wagon wheels (x1)
Couplings (the method used is at the builder's discretion)
Weight (the boiler is hollow)
Slide bars & coupling rods (these can be formed from wire fitting into pre-drilled holes in the cylinder and its support plate – please see video below)
(NB small strips of styrene will hold the driving wheels in place)

Optional additional details to scratchbuild (at the builder's discretion):
Safety valve (location pre-drilled)
Regulator
Crew

I hope you enjoy this unusual and eye-catching model.
