The booms of all Klingon ships were detachable as space lifeboats, although this happened only rarely. The B10's boom, coming with two cruiser-sized warp engines and four disruptors, had the power of a battlecruiser. In fact, the Klingons actually considered changing one of their D7 shipyards (or the D6 shipyard) over to producing B10 booms (which would vastly outnumber the B10s they could build). The theory was that this would allow fast production of battleships after the B10's ever-changing design stabilized. While this did not happen, it led to such unusual design studies as the C10 and T10.
The ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
