Axleboxes for LSWR wagons, to Mr. Panter's design: set of 24.
These axleboxes were used from the mid-1880s onward and were the most common type on LSWR wagons. The curved slide cast into the cover of the box allowed the cover to be moved aside for attention to the bearing.
This the the second version of the model, the first having been judged unprintable. To work round printing limitations I have thickened the slide on the axlebox cover along the axis parallel to the axle. This should not affect the appearance too badly.
