Product Description
These are rail racks. The Reading Company used these all along their mainline to hold two sticks of rail for the MOW crews. If a section of rail needed to be replaced, they would just take it off the rack, rather than have to carry a piece of rail with them. These were normally placed near switches, or roughly 3 miles apart. I have several of these along my layout and they look fantastic!
