The OV-10 Bronco, a rugged, maneuverable, twin-turboprop, multi-mission aircraft, served with the U.S. Air Force, Marine Corps, and the U.S. Navy. Designed and built by North American at Columbus, Ohio, the Bronco complemented the performance requirements between jets and helicopters. Faster and more tactically versatile than helicopters, yet slower and more maneuverable than jets, the Bronco utilized tactics not possible with either.
This 1/144 scale model of the OV-10A (scaled up from a 1/350 scale model beautifully printed by C2D before they got out of the business) features a detailed cockpit, 28 parts, and was designed to provide the modeler with multiple options for displaying the model. Both stationary and spinning propellers (printed in clear plastic) and closed and open canopies (also printed in clear plastic) are included. The landing gear may be displayed extended or closed as both gear and doors are provided. Payload includes a SUU-11/A gunpod, an Aero 1C Fuel Tank, four LAU-59 rocket pods with fairings, and four rocket pods without fairings.
