Product Description
Some Titans Return Trypticon figures have an issue where the heavy ratchet mechanism in the tail bends, breaks, or gets deformed from normal use, causing the mechanism to fall out of calibration or stop working entirely.

This kit will fix that issue right up.

Disassemble your trypticons tail.

Here is a Guide Courtasy of Rotorstorm at TFW2005 if you need help. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/tr-trypticon-tail-fix-guide-pic-heavy.1119376/

Now that you have your tail taken apart and the ratcheting mechanism exposed, its time to install the fix.

-First strighten out the tops of the cross section as best as possible. This will help later when we put the ratchet cap back on.

-Now taking the fix, use clippers to seperate the parts from each other. It is very important that the clipped area's are flush. So sand any nubs down with a nail file if needed.

-Test fit your part. If it feels to tight you might need to fine tune the thickness depending on what material you bought. Simply sand away at the outer wall until you get a lightly snug fit, do NOT force the part in it will cause the plastic to develop stress marks.

If you have calipurs this part will be a lot easier, on the part just measure the distance between the outer curved wall and the curved wall that nestles against the screw post. In my case a little under 9.4mm was just about perfect.

If your part gets stuck while test fitting you can drill a small hole in the center of the top and partially insert a screw or eyehook to help remove it.

Now depending on how snug your part fit is and how severe the break is you might want to glue the parts in place. Simply run a line of e6000 around the edge of the hole and push the part into it. This should even coat the walls and form a very solid bond.

Finally install the ratchet cap. You can use more e6000 for this or a good gel superglue.

And thats it! Just simply let everything cure/harden and reassemble trypticon. You will find that the tail ratchet now sounds far more rebust and confidently clicks into position weither it be dinosaur or city/ship mode.
