3788 Scale Andromedan Viper Frigates (2) SRZ

Andromedans are an aggressive empire from the M31 Andromedan Galaxy. Their technology is different from that of ships in our galaxy. They use tractor-repulsor beams to rip enemy ships apart, displacement devices to teleport their own ships or enemy ones, and weapons that are similar to a phaser-2. They do not use shields, but instead use power absorbers which capture the energy of enemy weapons and cycle it back into their own systems and weapons. Larger Andromedan ships (motherships) carry small frigate/destroyer sized ships internally and launch them as needed in combat.

When the Andromedans first arrived in our galaxy, their standard satellite ship was the Viper Frigate. (An Intruder carried four, and a Dominator carried eight.) The Andromedans quickly learned that the Viper was so small it could be killed by a single volley from an opposing squadron and switched to the larger Cobras. Many existing Vipers were converted to Courier scouts, Bull Snake cargo ships, or Ratting commando ships, but few frigate-sized satellite ships were seen after the first few years. This sprue includes two Vipers.

This sprue of ships is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
