Invidious Obsidian APC

The Invidious Obsidian APC is the standard personnel carrier for the Dominion Legion. It carries a single squad of seven Strayvians (in a somewhat cramped cabin). As heavily armoured from the front as most MBTs, and better shielded, it has a lazer cannon that some lighter tank would envy. Despite the secondary forward lazers, it has no dedicated PD turret, and thus must rely solely on the Strayvian’s typically advanced ECM for missile protection.

The infantry de-bus via a clamp-shell hatch at the back. This does exacerbate the flaw of all Strayvian vehicles – the comparatively poor rear armour.

The Invidious Obsidian also sports several reinforced firing ports, allowing the infantry inside to fire their weapons while still mounted.

They are typically deployed as a platoon of three with their infantry, with one APC’s commander acting as the platoon leader.
