My name is Thanhthanh Nguyen, and I am 13 years old, studying at Epic Middle School. This unique 12-Olympians themed dice set was created by me in February 2017. This was an assignment for our final project for Design class of Trimester 2, and it was to create a unique dice set, good enough to sell.

I got the inspiration from Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightning Thief to make something to keep kids interested in the book when they’re in school. Solution? Have them play a game with these dice. So I went on TinkerCAD and found the die model. I used cylinder holes arranged in a specific way with the align tool to make holes on each face of the die. I copied the model, so now there are 12 faces, one for every Olympian. For each face, I went on Google to find silhouettes of each symbol of power for a certain god (or goddess). I copied those images, and turned them into SVGs (scalable vector graphics) with PicSVG. I uploaded the SVGs into the project with the blank dice models, and arranged each image onto a face. So now each face sported a silhouette of the symbols, nicely aligned using the TinkerCAD align tool.
