Scherk Spiral Torus

A unique, interwoven spiral torus in the Scherk-Collins minimal surface family.  The unique property of this particular shape is the asymmetry of the cellular structure.  As the surface turns, the hole pattern spreads asymmetrically, causing a very interesting visual aesthetic.  A must-have for any serious mathematical art collection, and great conversation piece.  Modeled entirely with parametric polygon subdivision techniques in 3dsmax.
