Product Description
(Due to the lack of any 3-view, the dimensions where deduced from the rotor diameter and two scale model photos)

In 1954, at the department "The construction and design of helicopters" the Moscow Aviation Institute organized a design team to develop the transport craft-SVVP (aircraft with vertical takeoff and landing). The project was implemented under the guidance of Academician BN Yuryeva and I. P. Bratuhina together with Vsesoyuznym Electrotechnical Institute, where director at the time was academician AG Iosifyants.

For SVVP picked the power plant of the four theatre NK-12MV capacity of 12000 bhp, which were used for Tu-95 bomber. Was planned that engines are to propel soosnye air screws 6 meters in diameter.

Constructors offered the original layout scheme SVVP with vertical location of the fuselage on takeoff and landing. Four theatre located in the gondola at the ends of the wing fixing small extension (the angle between the consoles amounted to 90 degrees), had a rectangular cross-section of the fuselage. Its bow was double cabin crew, and her three cargo compartment. Armchairs wanted to establish a pivot to commit to ensure the comfort of the crew and paratroopers with the changing situation of the fuselage in the process of takeoff and landing.

The estimated takeoff weight SVVP stood at 50-60 tons, depending on flight conditions and a maximum take-off thrust soosnyh four screws - 90 tons. The plane carried a vertical takeoff, having enough to climb tyagovooruzhennost (1.2-1.5) and then had to turn to horizontal flight.

Some of them have been patented. The most important feature of this development was the electric transmission scheme, replace the traditional mechanical - with gearboxes, clutches and ramparts.
