Product Description
This package contains the bodyshell for one "Alexandra". This little quarry loco is a freelance design, based on engines built by Spooner in the 1870's. Little is known about those locos. Whilst a few photos of "Kathleen", which worked in the Alexandra Quarry exist, even less is known about the 0-6-0 locos built by Spooner's shortly afterwards. It is known that a 2ft 0-6-0 , similar in design to the other Spooner locos, was built for the "Mínas de Alonso" in Spain. Based on this little information available and some drawings, "Alexandra" is our version of what the Spooner 0-6-0's might have looked like. The model fits on a Graham Farish Class 04 chassis and needs RT models product numbers 4NCP008 and 4NCP010 to complete.
