Rumpler 6B1 (various scales)

The Rumpler 6B1 was a seaplane based on the successful Rumpler C.I.  It was changed into a single-seater (which helped to compensate for the weight of the floats), and all but the three prototypes had the rounded tail of the Rumpler C.IV.  A single synchronized LMG08 was mounted.   Thirty-five production planes were built before it was replaced in production by the twin-gunned 6B2.  But single-seat planes had by then fallen out of favor with the German Navy, so the latter was mostly used for training purposes.

This model comes in two scales:  1:144 and 1:285/6mm/1:288.  The 1:285 version includes two aeroplane models (the 1:144 is a single).  Since propeller blades cannot be printed at 1:285, detachable, translucent propeller disks are included instead.  They are joined by a disposable link to keep the price down, since single-part models are more affordable.  You can break the link with nail clippers, wire cutters, or similar.
