DIN 90 Stereo Microphone mount for 20mm diameter microphones, Including Schoeps cmc6.
Stereo mic clip for mounting two cardioid microphones in a 90 degree DIN configuration.
This microphone positioning system was developed for real-world recording situations. This system will not droop, sag or otherwise lose its geometry during use. This clip is easy to use, quick to position, and offers consistent, repeatable results without endless fiddling or adjustment.
May be attached directly to a standard US 5/8” thread mic stand, but we suggest using the clip in conjunction with a swivel adaptor such as the WindTech MA-1, OnStage MM01, or Triad M1-R. Includes attachment points for flying/hanging.
DIN is a "Near Coincident" stereo micing technique that provides a good balance between stereo localization and spaciousness. Place microphones in the clip with the diaphrams about 20cm apart (about 7 7/8”). DIN is a good option for micing small ensembles at relatively short distances.
