Product Description
This is a universal body of the Furness Railway E1 Class and also the Cambrian Railways Small Passenger Class, or SPC for short. For 4mm scale , 1:76, 00/EM & P4.
The locomotive went through several changes, most notible being different splashers, chimneys, safety valves and cab designs. These have been made separately so you can choose exactly what you need to suit your chosen railway company and period.
However, in this purchase you have everything you need to complete one version of the Furness E1. A set of splashers, safety valves, backhead controls, one chimney and a cab is included. To complete a different version or a Cambrian variant the aforementioned components are available separately.

If you are interested in only ordering one variation type rather than a set please make this known and it can easily be sorted.
You will also need a chassis, motor, gearbox, etc. These will be released shortly. The D1 and E1 ran with the 4 wheel tender also available.
One of the middle 4 lamp irons will need cutting off depending on prototype variant. Buffers and Smokebox Door need to be cut off as they are sprue joined. Other items are loose.
In many pictures, mainly the Furness types there is at the front of the smokebox door a whacking great hole leading up to the headstocks, on the cambrian examples this is often covered over with a cylinder cover. No doubt too many people were falling through the gap. The cylinder cover is provided loose to glue in if required.
The coupling rods or running plate bottom likely will need filing down about 0.3mms due to the running plate height being 3d printed, it makes it slightly thicker than ideal but with a few carefull passes clearance can be made.
Cab sides have not had the rivets modelled due to so many variations, however Archer transfer decals easily sort that out for you as they have physical relief. DCC Concepts and others sell them.
