The only model of the Douglas P2D in possibly any scale. This airplane started as the U.S. Navy's land-based T2D torpedo bomber in the late '20s. The U.S. Army objected and they were soon converted to floatplanes. About 30 were built. The models come two to a set: a single-tailed T2D torpedo bomber with load and a twin-tailed P2D patrol bomber. The T2D is notable as probably being the first twin-engined airplane to operate from an aircraft carrier. P2Ds were replaced by PBY Catalinas in 1937.
