3788 Scale Hydran Pegasus Gunboat/PF Tender CVN

The Hydrans are an unusual species that live on the far side of the Klingon Empire, along the edge of the galaxy. They are enemies of the Klingons and Lyrans, and were conquered by those empires at one point, only to drive the invaders out decades later. Hydrans breathe methane and live on cold type-S gas giants on silicate continents floating on liquid methane oceans.

Designed to carry a full flotilla of six gunboats, the Pegasus Gunboat/PF Tender is perhaps one of the more successful Hydran designs. The three fins (or wings) house the reactors in special fairings next to the hull and the repair systems in bulges at the wing roots. Gunboats (sometimes called PFs) were drawn into the docking positions by the tractor beams. This ship is a variant of the earlier Pegasus Scout, itself a variant of the earlier Pegasus-series ships used by the police and government for traffic control, internal security, and combat missions. Ships of this type sometimes carried a Stinger fighter for self-defense. Known names include  Distant Thunder, Distant Vengeance, Distant Lightning, Distant Justice, Distant Fury, Endurance, Reliable, Continuity, and Winged Havoc.

The ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
