GAZ-53-Soviet and Russian medium-duty truck, mass-produced Gorky automobile plant since 1961.
GAZ-53 is the third (after GAZ-AA/MM and GAZ-51) generation of MEDIUM-duty GAZ trucks. Is commercially available under the designation GAZ-53Ф (1961-1967), GAZ-53A (1965-1983) and GAZ-53-12 (1983—present. time.)
GAZ-53 and subsequent modifications is the mass of the truck on the territory of the former USSR. The total output was more than 4 million cars.
From 1964 to 1992, GAZ-52 was produced as a hybrid model, designed with an in-line six-cylinder engine OF GAZ-51 truck and with the use of units and parts of the car with a greater load capacity of GAZ-53.
