Product Description
Alexandra (Newport&South Wales) Docks and Railway Coach no 5
(ex railmotor no 1)
Final modified version(GWR)
Originally built as second steam railmotor in 1904. In 1917 after being more successful than no 2, it was converted into a control trailer for use with the ex Barnum and Bailey coaches, and continued into GWR ownership, when it was modified with new doors and steps. Condemmed in 1928, it was then used as a pilot coach (no I73) in locomotive department and finally condemmed in 1934.
Requires chassis, bogies etc.
