This is the original WW1 German helmet key ring hanger, designed by OCAD Militaria Collectors Resources.
The German coal scuttle helmet made its debut during World War 1. Compared to its British cousin, it offered slightly more protection to its wearer around the sides and neck, although was heavier. The M1916 was used by Germany and the Austria during the war and even during the turbulent 1920s and 30s. Its design would later develop into the German M1935 helmet and influence the science fiction baddie character costumes.
This miniature German helmet hanger fits onto a key ring (ring and key not included) and is made from strong and flexible plastic. It is available in black, green or stainless steel. It would make a great present for any helmet collector, amateur historian, re-enactor or military vehicle enthusiast, and would also work well on a bracelet or necklace charm.
