The AS.12 is an air launched, wire-guided, missile. The AS.12 has been mounted on a wide range of aitcraft, including, Breguet Alizé, Lockheed P-2 Neptune, Breguet Atlantique, Westland Wasp, Aérospatiale Alouette III, Hawker-Siddeley Nimrod and Westland Wessex for use in anti-shipping roles.
The AS.12 was used during the Falkland's War by Westland Wasp helicopters to disable the Argentinian submarine, Santa Fe.
