Ma'at amulet

In the ancient Egyptian religion, Ma’at is the name of both the concept of “rightness” and of the goddess who embodies it. The latter is often found seated, as in the form of this amulet, when she is offered to the gods by the pharaoh, who are said to live by her. She is their food and their air.
