Product Description
The SPAD 16 was produced in 1917 as an update of the earlier SPAD 11 two-seater. While it was not as well-liked as the faster Breguet 14 A2 and Salmson 2 A2, it served with at least 32 escadrilles starting in late 1917. 235 were in service in early 1918, and 130 were still flying in October. A superb example flown by Billy Mitchell is preserved in the National Air and Space Museum in the USA.

This model comes in 1:144 and 1:288 scales.  The 1:288 product includes two aeroplanes and has detachable, translucent propeller disks rather than propeller blades.
