Product Description
The German Midged-Submarine of the Type XXVIIB5 "Seehund" entered Service end of 1944. These Boats are armed with 2 G7e electric torpedoes. The "Seehund" was the first real and successfull type of a small submarine for the Kriegsmarine. It have had a Crew of 2 Men and could stay several days in the operation area. The "Seehund" was nearly undetectable and if the allied submarine chasers found them, they are only very hard to destroy, because they are a too small targets. The "Seehund" Flotillias sunk more than 100.000 ts of ships until end of the War. The French navy used 4 of them until 1956!

Das deutsche Kleinst-Uboot vom Typ XXVII B5 "Seehund" wurde Ende 1944 eingeführt. Es war der erste erfolgreiche Entwurf eines Kleinst-U-Bootes für die Kriegsmarine und war mit zwei elektrischen G7e Torpedos bewaffnet. Die "Seehunde" hatten 2 Mann Besatzung und hatten eine Seeausdauer von einigen Tagen. Sie waren nur sehr schwer zu entdecken, und falls doch, nur sehr schwer zu versenken, da sie nur ein sehr kleines Ziel abgaben. Die "Seehunde" versenkten mehr als 100.000 ts alliierten Schiffsraums bis zum Kriegsende. Die Französiche Flotte nutzte 4 Beuteboote bis 1956!
