Scandia Rail bus (N scale)

This is an unasembled unpainted kit for making a Scandia Railbus. Not to be confused with Scania the Swedish Truck and Bus manufactur Scandia with  a "d" was a danish train manufactur located in Randers that made all sorts of rollstock for railway oppertaors both in Denmark and abroad from 1861 to as late as 2015 when the factory closed.

History:
In the  1940'ies light Swedish Hilding Carlssons railbusses were becoming popular in Sweden due to their low opperating costs, Some of these Swedish Railbusses were also finding their way into the Danish rail network.
In a bid to capitalize on this market Scandia developed their own type of rail bus not too different from the Swedish design, These railbusses became an emediate hit which saved or at least prolonged the life of many small branch lines and private railcompanys facing the competition of the road bus and private car. I think that any Dane who is interested in the railroad has a place in his or hear heart for this little important vehicle in Danish history,  And to make the circle complete, just like some of the Swedish Hilding Carlssons railbusses ended up in Denmark a number of Danish Scandia Railbusses did infact end up in Sweden for their last service years.

With a little patience and elbow grease you can now have a running one on your N scale layout.

Parts needed:
Tomytec TM-TR05 motorized chassis,
or alternativley Tomytec TM-TR06 if you want to harvest two spare unpowered bogies for a rail bus trailer that I plan to release in the future.
you will extract the bogies, motor and drivetrain from the Tomytec TM-TR05 and install them in the 3D printed chassis, It is recomended to prime, paint and clear coat the chassis before installing the parts from the tomytec chassis,
Tomix 0381 couplers, you can trimm them a bit with a raisor to make them further resemble the  prototype.
0.2 mm hard steel wire for fastening the couplers through holes in the bottom of the chassis.
transparent plastic card, clear glue and a lot of patience for making the windows.
the small door windows can be made by using bondic UV glue or other clear UV hardening glue.
Windshield wipers are FKS Modellbau Art. Nr 160 -031 - 01
Side mirrors are FKS Modellbau Art. Nr. 160 - 030-02
You can chose to skip the windshield wipers or side mirrors to make a more robust but slightly less detailed version.
0402 LED is recomended for the head lights with adequate resistors, or use a stump  of 1 mm fiber optic wire if you prefer other types of lighting or a differnt placement of the LED. illuminating the top light is not recomended on this model.
Bagage racks wich are etched in brass and not included, you will either have to etch them yourself or order them directley form me for 50 Kroner for a pair and free shipping within Denmark. 
there is a template for them in one of the pictures if you wish to make them yourself or contract a third suplier.

Propper priming and carefull sanding between the stages of painting is recomended for best results with this model.
Building this is at your own risk, there is no manual.
