Product Description

Rhea is the second largest moon of Saturn and the ninth largest moon in our Solar system. It was discovered in 1672 by Giovanni Domenico Cassini and is named after the Greek Titan Rhea, daughter of Gaia (Earth) and Uranus (Sky). In early traditions she was referred to as the “mother of the gods”, and was viewed by the ancient Greeks as the mother of the Olympian gods and goddesses, but not a goddess in her own right.

This desk sculpture pays tribute to this moon and the mythical figure after which it is named.
