Gorm (GSN) Cruiser

The Gorm Space Navy (GSN) Cruiser is a new design by Todd Dillen, based on Jack Southerland's Starfire artwork on the back cover of the 3rd Edition Rulebook.

The GSN designed their cruisers like an up-sized version of their light cruiser mixed-weapon designs. It wasn't until the GSN commissioned the Korak-class cruiser and it's all-forcebeam armamant that the design philosophy for cruisers was altered, and even then the change wasn't fully involved until the Korzak-class refit for the Korak-class that turned it thema full-sized cruiser armed with Capital Forcebeams. It is probably for this reason that the GSN deployed far more light cruisers then full-sized cruisers into their fleets.

The Empire of Gormus was a spacefaring race that encountered the Khanate of Orion between ISW-2 and ISW-3. After a string of defeats fighting the Terran Federation, the Khanate of Orion craftily defeated the Gorm Space Navy. The Khanate of Orion were so impressed by the Gorm's prowess and honor in combat that they offered an immediate partnership to the Khanate. The offer was accepted.
