Product Description
This is a model of a so-called "Anu". To our knowledge, it is purported to be a subatomic entity smaller than quarks, which are the smallest subatomic particles that science currently recognizes.

The Anu and its properties are described on pages 10-16 of the Theosophical Publishing House’s book, Occult Chemistry, which was first published over 100 years ago. A similar representation of the Anu was published on page 102 of Edwin D. Babbit’s book The Principles of Light and Color in 1878.

The Anu comes in two versions, a "positive" and a "negative" one. Our model which is available for sale here is the negative version. If you'd like to purchase the positive version, just contact me, and I'll provide it here on Shapeways.

Our model is created using some relatively simple mathematical formulas using sine and cosine in order to provide smooth and clean paths for the curves. In addition to the curves which form the main part of the model, we added some support structures in order to make the whole object stable and rigid enough.

The idea to create this object was not mine. The project was suggested to me by Mark Brooks who wanted it for a presentation. The first object was 3d printed in January 2020.
