Product Description
Geometry: 4 Corners Cube is so named because only four of the corners on the cube actually move. The other four are part of the core, and thus stationary. Each of the four mobile corners can move with three different axes, and there are 12 axes overall. The puzzle is based on the geometry of the triakis tetrahedron, and is a jumbling only puzzle. 4 Corneres Cube shapeshifts and bandages constantly, making it extremely complex.
Other Items Needed: Dye: If you want the puzzle to be black, you can dye the pieces yourself with a nylon dye such as RIT or Dylon, or you can have Shapeways dye it for you at additional cost. Stickers: Template available in the tips & how-tos forum. If you want professionally cut stickers, I recommend Oliver’s Stickers or Chewie's Custom Stickers. Screws: Twelve 12mm M3 pan head screws required, available in hardware stores or on the web. Springs: Twelve springs needed, available in web puzzle shops. I get mine from HK Now Store.
Degree of Difficulty: Assembly: Inside-out core requires some dexterity to assemble. Solving: Extremely difficult to solve.
Playability: 4 Corners Cube turns well, and the mechanism is stable.
