Sou Ry. Locomotive Cab for Bachman 4-8-2 - HO

This is a replacement cab for the Bachmann Spectrum light 4-8-2, designed to be a drop-in replacement. It replaces the USRA style cab with a Southern Ry. style cab.  The modeler may need to add small bits of styrene to the locomotive around the rear of the cab, because the Southern cab is a few scale inches longer than the USRA cab, and the rear opening is slightly narrower.

 

The windows are all separate, and can be positioned opened or closed.  The front windows have very small recesses in them to help them better fit in the open position.  Glue them into position as desired, using ACC. The side windows can be cut in half to allow them to be installed in the fully open position.  The roof ventilator can be instaled either closed or open to any degree, using the included support to glue it into the opening.
