Product Description
This is a set of replacement parts for Combiner Wars Optimus Prime. The parts replace Optimus Prime's combiner Antenna and gives him fearsome looking horns. This is great for customizing your Combiner Wars figures to look different from each other. The horns are longer than the original antenna parts. The horn parts can be installed and transformed into truck mode, but you will have to make sure all your alignments and spacing are correct so you do not accidently crush them.
These parts are connected. You will need to separate them and trim off excess plastic with a hobby knife or plastic cutters. This design has been updated to maintain the points of the horns during Shapeways cleanup process. You will need to trim off the excess plastic between the tips of the horns. Sand or file excess plastic to a desired sharpness. Paint the tips to finish the look.
To install you will need to unscrew the back of Optimus Prime's Head. The front and back half of the head will split. Remove the antenna and replace with the new parts. Press gently, firmly and with even pressure. The new parts will have a firm fit but they can be rotated for transformation if needed. Reassemble Optimus' combiner head and install the original screw.
This is intended for adult collectors. This is not designed for rough play by children.
This was tested with my home printer, printed in PLA plastic. When fitting the part press firmly and evenly. Depending on the plastic you choose, sanding or polish may be needed to fine tune the fit.
