3788 Scale Probr Medium Cruiser (CM) MGL

The Omega Octant is east of the Alpha Octant empires seen in the Star Fleet Universe (beyond the Inter-Stellar Concordium), on the other side of a galactic void. That void is a dead zone where life is impossible and ships fall apart, marking a separation between Octants.  The Probr are a species of salamander-like amphibians that were the product of a genetic engineering experiment by another species known only as THEM. The Probr revolted, killing all of THEM. The Probr Revolution stayed out of the First Great War, but joined the fray during the Maesron Collapse to become one of the Four Superpowers. Probr ships are built from a combination of one of more of the “basic hulls” and various wings are added on. The ships are armed with quantum phasers, plasma-like HEAT torpedoes, and target accentuators.

The Probr Medium Cruiser was first born out of an emergency measure, which saw a number of shipyards combine the paired central hulls intended for use in Steel Heavy Cruisers with the small wings used for Brass Frigates or Bronze Destroyers. With an unorthodox warp power draw for movement (so long as the wings are attached), these ships are generally considered to be mistakes and are only barely tolerated. Assignment to one is considered to be an insult at best or the end of one’s career at worst.

The ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
