Soot Sprite

Susuwatari, also known as soot sprites, are little black creatures that appear in two movies written and produced by Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli -- "My Neighbour Totoro" and "Spirited Away". They are small, black as soot, and fuzzy; they also like to eat kompeito, a star-shaped Japanese candy. The soot sprite that we have designed is made primarily out of black sandstone, the perfect material to give it that sooty texture we see represented in the Ghibli movies. For some dimension, we created a little dip for the eyes, just enough to give the green irises some life. The flat bottom on the soot sprite makes it easy for you to display the adorable creature on any flat surface for you and your friends to admire.
