Product Description
The Boeing RC-135 is a series of reconnaissance aircraft built by Boeing. It is currently being used by the US Air Force and the Royal Air Force. Based on the original KC-135A, which in turn is based on the Boeing 707 prototype, this aircraft, has been the workhorse of the intelligence community for decades, with numerous upgrades to engines and avionics over the same span of time. The Cobra Ball is a scientific/technical platform used by the Air Force to gather information on ballistic missile tests and enemy weapon launches. The right wing and starboard engines are painted black to prevent glare being captured by the special cameras on the starboard side.
This model is another variant of the stock RC-135, with the original design based on my RC-135 V/W. As there are an abundance of aircraft based on the Boeing 707 airframe, swapping engines or components saves time and produces several of the varieties still seen today. Enjoy!
Version 1.8.20220929 - A scaling issue detected with my other Boeing 707 derivatives has been resolved.
