Thornycroft Antar Mk. 2 Tractor 1/160

The "Mighty Antar" was developed by Thornycroft in the late 1940´s as a tractor for heavy tank transporters of the British Army. In 1952 the fist Antars are entering service. They were used until the mid of the 1980´s. A lot of other countries who are also using the Centurion tank like India, Netherlands, South Africa or Turkey are  buying the Antar as support verhicle too. Set of two Antar Mk 2 Tractors with ballast bridge for tailers.

Der "Mächtige Antar" wurde in den späten 1940er Jahren von der Firma Thornycroft als Zugmaschine für die schweren Panzertransporter der Britischen Armee entwickelt. Ab 1952 wurden die ersten Antar´s eingeführt und dienten bis Mitte der 1980er Jahre bei der Britischen Armee. Viele andere Staaten die ebenfalls den Centurion Kampfpanzer einsetzten, kauften auch den Antar als Unterstützungsfahrzeug. Dazu gehörten u.A. Indien, Pakistan, Südafrika oder auch die Türkei. Set bestend aus 2 Antar Mk. 2 mit Ballastbrücke als Zugmaschine für Anhänger.
