Product Description

Sebastian is a contemporary jeweller and craftsman based in London. The above item is part of a collection called “Shapes of Reality” made up of eight objects. Through this collection Sebastian seeks to expose the relationship between habits and shapes and how they influence each other to create our daily experience of reality. Nothing is neutral, all things we create narrate. Manufactured objects enforce and support mythology and ritual, willingly or unwillingly. The collection invites observers and users to explore functions and rituals not yet invented in order to prompt us to move beyond trying to solve our problems with the same approach that once created them. The artist statement is that in order to survive we need to change our mythology.
