The 1937 Caterpillar D8 tracked tractor was used in large number by US-Forces during WW II, Here in combination with Athey BT898 tracked trailers for rough terrain. This combinations sawing action during D-Day on Omaha Beach, in the Pacific during the Aleutean Campaign and also units like heavy bridging engineers used this vehicles. Set of two D8 and four BT898.
Die 1937 Caterpillar D8 Ketten-Zugmaschine wurde in großen Stückzahlen von den US-Streitkräften eingesetzt, hier in Kombination mit Athey BT898 Anhängern mit Kettenlaufwerk für schweres Gelände. Diese Kombinationen wurde unter Anderem während der Invasion am Omaha Beach, im Pazifik auf den Aleuten und auch von Einheiten wie schweren Brückenbau-Pionieren eingesetzt. Satz bestehend aus zwei D8 und vier BT898.
