Product Description

Kit comes with: Hands, Groin, Shotgun

Scale: Sized for Minifigures

Note the price of these prints is based on volume and surface area, we split out some of the parts from Mars Marine since it was costing a LOT with all parts. This upgrade set is for the person who wants all parts, the base kit is the essential parts needed to make a cool little figure.

Want the most detailed figure possible? This kit upgrades the Mars Marine set with more detailed parts.

Features: hands with glove details on both sides, groin piece with mini pouch and micro-sculpting, and an articulated Double Barrelled Shotgun!

Highly detailed custom parts, see all pictures. Kit comes on a sprue, the sprue is very thin for easier cleanup so it might come off the sprue from shapeways!

NOTES: The frosted extreme detail material is fragile! It is more fragile than injection molded plastic or casting resin so be very careful, these are prototype parts meant for us only but we wanted to share them.

When you get the parts: remove them from sprue, do extra sanding or cutting so the fit is good, paint them if you want, and then put it together, do not do any test fits or the parts might break when you disassemble them! Not meant for pulling on and off continuously!

We do a warm soap bath and scrub with a toothbrush, if the parts feel oily definitely do this. We also put them in the sun or UV light for an hour to make sure they parts are fully cured.

Parts will look VERY good with light finishing work by wet-sanding with 600-800 grit sandpaper.

Hands: sand the pegs that slot into the arms and keep trying until it fits in smoothly but still grips. When putting weapons into the hands be very careful! all parts are fragile.

Groin: We did not modify this at all, it should plug into the torso smoothly, we widened the holes a small bit on the legs to have them push on easier.

Super Shotgun: There is a very small male/female joint made of a half circle that is proud and indented into the surface. We sanded the proud half circle down until the lower half of the gun "clicked" in easily. If its too loose, do not pull it off, you can use nail polish to tighten it assembled.
