3D printed in white nylon plastic with a matte finish and slight grainy feel.
Product Description
This is a cable retainer to used to velcro an MTP or LC cable into a QSFP port so you can wire a switch up to a patch panel and install optics at a later time.

The main benefit of this, if you know your media type you can get all of your data cabling work done but defer the purchase of optics until a later time when the price is lower. This unit has already saved hundreds of thousands.  This can also work well if you know your media type but not reach (ie you know it is SMF/LC but aren't sure if the transciever will be 2, 10, 40, or 80km)

I feel that it works well in white and strong flexible plastic, but I'm enabling some other colors and materials.  No matter what, it is experimental, it has not been tested in your device.  Before using a material verify its thermal and structural properties.  Please message me and let me know if other materials work or not.

If you're going to order a lot and don't need them quick maybe we can go in together on injection molding which seems to have about $4000 in tooling costs to overcome and a few weeks lead time.  I've placed no markup on these, cost is cost, no complaints, no refunds, use at your own risk.
